Welcome to the Bros in the World page! The Bros are twins who share the same feeling of what life should be, a great discovery. We like to jump into the unknown, discover new cultures, new experiences and take pictures, make records of our wanderings and achievements. If you kind of fell that way, feel free to browse all of our destinations and discover that the world is small, and that to know it, simply go around.
Hi, everyone, welcome to Bros in the World, welcome to Brazil! The Rio de Janeiro is our favorite city in Brazil, the post will read long, but worth reading the tips of touring the "wonderful city". If you want to know or return to Rio de Janeiro, follow us here. ;)
This is a small "road map" with tips for a quick trip to Rio, you can do these tours in three days quietly, and from the beautiful beaches in the state.
(Photos of Confectionery Columbus and its candy).
During the day enjoy the sights, Corcovado (where is the statue of Christ) and the Morro da Urca Bondinho and Sugarloaf are always crowded, a good tip is to buy tickets online for this attractions. Corcovado has the option to schedule the day and time (between 8:00 and 19:00 hrs) and you can buy here: http://www.ingressorapido.com.br/corcovado. But the cable car starts its activities by 8:10 and closes at 21:00. You can purchase tickets here: http://www.bondinho.com.br. Believe me, you will not regret buying online and will save a good time (the line of cable car is on average two and a half hours on a beautiful sunny day).
Other legal day trips are visits to Park Lage which features a breakfast fiercely competitive, but quite complete with fruit, croassant, muffins, cheese, bread, coffee and more options to leave you with enough energy. The trick is to get there early and enjoy that beautiful place. You can also do a picnic in the green areas of the park, which can also result in a nice ride. Near the Parque Lage is the is the Botanical Gardens, entry costs R $ 6.00 reais and it is free for children under 7 years. The place is huge and beautiful. You find in the garden a specialized place bread with various pastries called La Bicyclette, also has Cafe Botanica and, for the night, the Paxeco Bar, a very nice pub.
Another good tourist and unmissable tip is to go on the Colombo confectionery. You can arrive early and enjoy the breakfast buffet or arrive after 11:00 and choose the menu delights sitting at the tables. The place still has lunch or if you want to take a quickie pastries and still taste the sweets, you can go straight to the counter and place your order. The Colombo is in downtown Rio, is a place with more than 100 years, therefore is a must-visit spot. You will still have the pleasure of walking the charming streets (and sometimes as common as any other in the center of large cities in Brazil) from downtown Rio.

Another very good place to simply enjoy being in Rio de Janeiro is the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. In it you will find a huge space for leisure, you can rent bikes, race track, paddle in the pond, water skiing, sports facilities and other miscellaneous options. The pond contour you still find kiosks with gastronomic varieties and restaurants such as the Lagoon and the Palaphita.
Lapa and the staircase Selaron are tourist spots also can not be lost, the two places have a little history of the city. And if you want something even more "unique" can go in the Ruins Park in Santa Tereza. The park is beautiful and the view is, as the city, wonderful.
(The first two pictures are from Ruins Park; and last pic from the staircase Selaron).
Rio is a beach city, so, you can also enjoy spend the hole day under the sun until it set. The Arpoador beach is a great spot to watch the sunset. The stone Arpoador is well played by lovers of nature and who like to see the best angle of the sunset in Rio (especially in the days of spring and summer). If you do not get a spot in the stone, do not worry at any point of Arpoador beach or Ipanema beach, you do not lose anything in the show.
(The view of the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and paddleboats, the amazing sunset at Arpoador and The Christ Statue).
A good tip for the night is the bar at the top of the Hotel Pestana in Copacabana, called Deck Bar. It's a great lounge that welcomes guests and visitors with good drinks, food and music. The space also features DJs that make the the pre-night in this place.
To conclude, those who like a more alternative scene, no doubt, spend the late afternoon and night in Lapa, it has no error, much samba and people having fun in the biggest Rio vibe.
